BHRC drew the attention of the UN body to Enforced Disappearances in Balochistan

Geneva: May 25, 2022

In a written statement to the UN’s general assembly on the 50th session of the Human Rights Council, Baloch Human Rights Council (BHRC) highlighted the gruesome phenomenon of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Through its collaborative ECOSOC organization, The Tumuku Development and Cultural Union, BHRC has given a detailed account of the incidents in April 2022. During the month, security forces and proxy death squads picked up many Baloch, and their whereabouts are unknown.
