Speakers at a protest demonstration organized by the Baloch Human Rights Council (BHRC) at the Broken Chair in front of the UN building in Geneva condemned the atrocities commi
tted in Balochistan by Pakistan and called for UN intervention in Balochistan to save the Baloch people.
Representatives from various human rights organizations highlighted the worsening human rights situations in Balochistan and blamed the Pakistani security forces for enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of Baloch socio-political activists in thousands. Participants displayed banners highlighting various aspects of human rights violations faced by the Baloch people in Pakistan.
After the protest demonstration, a delegation of BHRC submitted two separate petitions focusing addressed to the UN Secretary-General and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
