London:
A quarterly report by the Baloch Human Rights Council (BHRC) on enforced disappearances in Balochistan was published today.
The Pakistani security forces, including Pakistan’s military, police, secret agencies, auxiliary militias, and local collaborators, commonly known as death squads, continued to carry out enforced disappearances in 2023 as part of a systematic suppression of the Baloch people in Balochistan.
According to the data collected by the BHRC, 92 persons were subjected to enforced disappearances between January 2023 to March 2023, while four of the missing persons were extrajudicially killed by Pakistani security forces. Numerous forcibly disappeared persons are minors and students. The related details published in the BHRC’s quarterly report are as follows:

January 2023
Number of missing persons: 23
BHRC documented 23 cases of enforced disappearance in Balochistan in January 2023, including six students and a minor.
January 01, 2023: The security forces picked up two students, Liaquat Saki Dad and Bakhtiar Shafi Muhammad, from Turbat town, district Kech. Their whereabouts remain unknown to this date.
In another incident, Zohaib Raisani, a student, was picked up by the security forces from the Universal Complex in Quetta. He remains missing.
January 04, 2023: The security forces picked up Hamid, son of Bijjar, a singer, during a raid on his home in Turbat, Kech. He has been missing since then.
January 05, 2023: Security forces took away Ahmed, son of Ashraf, and Babo, son of Hussain Ahmed, both drivers by profession and residents of Kolwah, from Askani Bazaar, Turbat.
January 07, 2023: Security forces raided a house late at night in Gomazi, Tump, and forcibly disappeared two people: Bilal, son of Ghafoor, and Umair, son of Dad Muhammad.
January 10, 2023: Security forces brutally beat Raza Muhammad, son of Sher Muhammad Magsi, before taking him away from the Gazi area of Sibi. His whereabouts remain unknown.
January 13, 2023: Security forces raided a house in Mand and picked up two brothers, Bijjar Hassan and Nauroz. They have been missing since.
January 15, 2023: The security forces picked up Abdul Khaliq, son of Ghulam Muhammad Qambrani, a tailor, from his tailor shop at Irrigation Colony in Sariab Road, Quetta. He remains missing.
In Nushki, Security forces picked up Naqeeb Jamaldini, son of Khairullah Jamaldini, Adnan Jamaldini, son of Haji Akbar Jamaldini, Sufiyan Jamaldini, son of Haneef Jamaldini (a minor), and Muzamil. Their whereabouts are unknown.
The security forces abducted Wazir Ahmed, son of Ali Jan, from Hub City. Since then, his whereabouts have been unknown.
January 16, 2023: Subhan Qaisrani and Masood Ur Rehman Qaisrani, both cousins, became the victims of enforced disappearances after the security forces in Quetta picked them up. They remain missing.
January 19, 2023: Security forces picked up three students, including Kiyya, son of Muhammad Ashraf; Atif, son of Muhammad Fazal; and Sher Khan, son of Sumar, from A1 city in Quetta. Atif and Sher Khan were released a week after, while Kiyya remains missing.
January 25, 2023: Naseeb Ullah Shawani, son of Bakhtawar Shahwani, went missing after the Pakistani security forces took him away from Mastung Bazaar.
January 26, 2023: Salam, son of Muhammad Azam, and Khuda Rahm, son of Mashki, both students, became the victims of enforced disappearances after the security forces near the Civil Hospital in Quetta picked them up. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

February 01, 2023, Pakistani security forces abducted and whisked away Afzal, son of Abdul Rahim, from Mashkay, district Awaran. He remains missing.
Rauf and Ameer, residents of Dhadar, district Kachhi, were arrested and disappeared by the security forces from a hotel in Mastung. Their whereabouts are unknown to the family.
February 02, 2023, Khuram Badini and Saud Badini went missing after the security forces in the Nushki district of Balochistan picked them up.
February 03, 2023, During a raid on the house of Muhammad Rahim Zehri in the Nashnas Colony of Geshkori town in Quetta, the Pakistani security forces abducted Muhammad Rahim Zehri along with his wife Rashida Zehri and two of his minor children. Rashida Zehri. The children were released a few days later, but Muhammad Rahim Zehri remains missing.
February 04, 2023, Ali Nawaz, son of Muhammad Umar, was arrested and forcibly disappeared by the security forces from the Johan road in Mangochar, district Qalat. He remains missing.
February 05, 2023, Pakistani security forces abducted Wahid, son of Wali Dad, during a search operation in the Maher area of Mand, district Kech. According to local sources, the security personnel used excessive violence against women and children during the operation.
February 06, 2023, Pakistani security forces picked up Dildar, son of Khudabadan and Khan Muhammad, son of Muhammad Ali, both shepherds, from the Dandar area of district Kech. They were not seen after being shifted to a nearby military camp.
February 07, 2023, Gulab and Saleem were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces in Gichk tehsil of district Punjgur in January 2023. However, their families made the incident public on February 07 2023. They remain missing.
Aurang Zaib, son of Siraj Ahmed, a resident of Panjgur, was picked up by the security forces from the Gulshan Mazdoor area of Karachi.
February 08, 2023, A young man Shoaib, son of Muhammad Ayub, was picked up by the security forces from Mawach Bazar, Khudabadan area of district Panjgur. He remains missing.
February 14, 2023, Pakistani forces abducted Hasil, son of Abdul Samad, from his family home in Mand, district Kech.
Mali Marri, son of Faqeer Shad Marri, was picked up by the security forces in Harnai, Balochistan.
February 17, 2023, Jungian, son of Mazar, along with his two sons, Waheed Ahmed, son of Jungian, and Naseeb Ullah, son of Jungian, and his brother-in-law, Karim Dad’s son Manzoor Baloch, were abducted by Pakistani security forces from tehsil Gichk, district Panjgur.
On February 18, 2023, the security forces picked Sanjer, son of Wazir Ahmed, from a barber shop in Tasp bazaar, Punjgur.
February 20, 2023, Yahya Salam, son of Salam Baloch, a resident of Punjgur, was abducted by men in plain clothes believed to be from the Pakistani secret agencies.
On February 22, 2023, Pakistani security forces abducted five men from Jiwani, district Gwadar named Kamran, Nazeer Ahmed, Rashid, Abdul Qadeer and Faisal Baloch.
Pakistani forces picked up two brothers, Dad Shah and Saeed Ullah, from their house in the Dal Karki area of Mashkay, district Awaran. They remain missing.
The Pakistani forces abducted Faiz Muhammad and Hasil from their homes in the Taank area of Mashkay, district Awaran. They remain missing.
Hameed Baloch, son of Abdein, a resident of the Allah Bakhsh Goth area of Jhaoo, district Awaran, was summoned by the Pakistani security forces to a military checkpoint in Kalatu, Jhaoo. The security forces took him away; he has not been heard from since.
February 26, 2023, Arshad, son of Naseer Ahmed, a minor, was abducted by the Pakistani forces during a raid on his family home in Gomazi, district Kech. He remains missing.
February 28, 2023, Meer Wais, a student, was abducted during a raid by the security forces on his family home in Apsar, Kech. He remains missing.

February 05, 2023, Noor Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghaffar Kashani, a driver and resident of Dalbandin, was shot and killed by Pakistani security forces in Mashkay, district Awaran while driving his car. Two passengers in the vehicle Abdul, son of Samad, and Karim, son of Noor Khan, were severely injured.
February 17, 2023, The Pakistani army detained and tortured Dad Bakhsh, son of Miskan and resident of Awaran, at the Geshkor camp. He died due to brutal torture.

March 01, 2023, Muhammad Jan son of Hakeem Baloch, a teenage student from Turbat was picked up by the Pakistani security forces in Turbat, Kech. He has remained missing since.
Two young men Waju, son of Wahab Baloch and Haseem, son of Shafi Muhammad were forcibly disappeared by the security forces in Mand, Kech. They remain missing.
Shehzad, son of Mir Jan Domki, a resident of Sibbi, Balochistan, was picked up by the security forces from Karachi. He remains missing.
March 06, 2023, Hameed Baloch, son of Babu Mehrab was abducted by the security agencies from Gwadar. His whereabouts remain unknown.
March 07, 2023, Pakistani security forces picked up two men from Gwadar. They were identified as Shah Jahan, son of Gamdad, and Waheed Baloch, son of Haji Feroz. Their whereabouts are unknown.
The security agencies abducted Nazeer Ahmed, son of Bahram from Panjgur. He remains missing.
March 09, 2023, Shehzad, son of Bohair, and Faraz, son of Muhammad Iqbal both minor students were picked up by the Pakistani security agencies from Aapsar, Turbat. They remain missing.
The security forces abducted Muhammad Ibrahim, son of Nabi Bakhsh Mengal, and Nizam, son of Nabi Bakhsh Mengal from Harnai. They remain missing.
March 10, 2023, Security forces abducted Sabir, son of Abdul Ghani during a raid on his family home. His whereabouts are unknown. Rasool Bakhsh, son of Taj Muhammad, was picked up by the security forces from his shop in Gwadar. He remains missing.
Javed, son of Ghulam Qadir, and Murad Ali were forcibly disappeared during a military raid on their family home in Hub, Balochistan.
March 12, 2023, Attaullah, son of Abdul Qadir, and Pazir Ahmed, son of Shambey, were abducted by the army-backed members of local death squads from Parom, Panjgur. They remain missing.
March 13, 2023, The security forces picked up Jalal, son of Meerain, and Israr, son of Attaullah from their homes in Tump. Jalal was released on March 20, 2023, but Israr remains missing.
March 15, 2023, Security forces abducted Amjid Ahmed, son of Ahmed Siapad, and Muhammad Qasim, son of Haji Karim Dad, during a military raid in Raskoh Ari Kallag area of Kharan. The victims remains missing.
March 17, 2023, Asif, son of Allah Bakhsh, a resident of Jhaoo, was picked up by the Pakistani security forces from Teertaje area of Awaran. He remains missing.
March 18, 2023, The security forces of Pakistan forcibly disappeared Jumma Khan Marri and Roz Muhammad in New Kahan, Quetta. Their whereabouts are unknown.
March 20, 2023, Khalid, son of Muhammad Hassan and Asif, son of Abdulla, both students were picked up by the Pakistani security forces from Khuzdar. They remain missing.
March 21, 2023, Saddam and Kattu, two shepherds were abducted by the Pakistani security forces during a military operation in Kohlu. They remain missing.
Jahanzeb, son of Fazal, was picked up by the Pakistani security forces from a medical store in Turbat. His whereabouts remain unknown.
March 23, 2023, Rahmdil Baloch, son of Muhammad Ismail a labourer in the UAE was abducted by the Pakistani security forces from the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, as he was travelling to UAE.
Bilal Zehri, son of Munir Ahmed was abducted by the security forces from Khuzdar. He remains missing.
March 25, 2023, Beebagr, son of Hafeez Ullah was forcibly disappeared by the security forces in Kharan. He remains missing.
March 28, 2023, Pakistani security forces abducted two students from Turbat. The victims were identified as Waris Mussa, a resident of Alandur, Buleda, and Yaseen Sahibdad, a resident of Pirandar, Awaran.
March 30, 2023, Nawaz, son of Shafi Muhammad, a student was picked up by the security agencies from Turbat. He remains missing.

March 05, 2023, Kifa Islam, a resident of Tump, was abducted by the Pakistani security forces from Tump on March 04, 2023. His tortured dead body was found a day later his abduction.
March 21, 2023, Allah Dad, a shepherd was shot dead by the Pakistani security forces during a military operation in Kohlu.
